What is UNICEF Day for Change?

UNICEF Day for Change is UNICEF Australia’s annual fundraising event for schools, celebrated each year on Universal Children’s Day, Wednesday 24 October 2012. On this day, thousands of students around Australia take action for children in other parts of the world by changing what they wear or what they do for a day to raise money for UNICEF’s education projects overseas.

UNICEF Day for Change is a fun and easy way to get your students involved in helping kids around the world receive their right to go to school. As one of Australia’s closest neighbours, it’s hard to imagine that 7 out of 10 children will never reach year 9. Read more

Since 2006, thousands of students have helped raise almost $200,000 to support the work of UNICEF providing other kids around the world the chance to go to school. This year, our new UNICEF Day for Change ambassadors are challenging all schools across Australia to help stand up for all kids right to go to school by getting involved in UNICEF Day for Change, 24 October 2012.
